This year, students will be “challenged” to complete creative projects. These projects are intended to be extra work, meaning they should demonstrate extra effort and extra learning, and at the end of each semester, these challenges can be traded in for EXTRA CREDIT. As it is, extra credit is really intended to reward extra work, not excuse work that maybe didn’t earn your best effort. SO, if you are looking to get some extra credit, try completing a few of the challenges! So don’t find yourself asking, “what can I do to bring my grade up?” because you already know!
How Extra Credit Challenges Work:
After the completion of each challenge, turn it in using this FORM (also below). No challenges will be considered without completing the form. If you want to apply the challenges for extra credit, before 3pm the night before grades are due complete this form! Each challenge is worth a 0.5% grade increase, and you can apply up to 6 challenges a term! You can do as many as you want over the year, but your max grade % increase a term is 3%. So, if you have an 87, and you complete the challenges, you could apply to have your grade bumped to a 90! However, remember that this is extra work for extra credit, your efforts should represent that. You should also not wait until the last week to complete all your challenges.
